Throughout my diverse experience there remains one constant: the human capacity for resilience. As a therapist, I strive to nourish this resilience which is inherent in you. I will approach you with curiosity, attention and sensitivity to your uniqueness. I am dedicated to supporting you in utilizing your strengths so that you can reach your goals. I believe that establishing a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship is the first step towards allowing us to address difficult emotions and dynamics, which can lead towards your healing and growth. I will support you in developing concrete tools and in gaining deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself and others.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing psychotherapy since graduating in 2008 from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York. I have had a wide range of experience with all types of individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families.
I am especially skilled in treating depression, anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, trauma, life cycle transitions, and self-esteem. When working with relationship conflicts, I assist my clients in the development of more effective communication. I have also worked extensively with children, adolescents, and their parents in addressing issues related to divorce, parenting, social skills, loss, behavior, attachment and ADHD. In my work with children and teens, I support them to develop healthier ways of expressing themselves and I also support parents in the challenges which accompany parenthood.
I value this work and care deeply about my clients and I feel fortunate for the opportunity of accompanying you on your journey towards healing and growth.
